Re: Legal Ford 5.0 head with screw in studs
Charlie, I just went thru this with my 85 Mustang. Although it may be possible to drill the factory rocker fulcrums out to 3/8 or 7/16`s, what I did was have 7/16`s studs installed, and I used a set of the factory Boss 302 , Boss 351, 429SCJ rocker fulcrums. These fulcrums are drilled for 7/16" studs, and don`t have square "lug" on the bottom, that the factory 5.0 non adjustable rockers use to keep the rocker centered over the valve. As far as I know, these fulcrums are obsolete from Ford, I happened to find a NOS set of 16 in a local car parts magazine. The Ford part number on the box of fulcrums is D0OZ-6A528-C if that helps. Maybe some Ford racer or shop might have some laying around. I`ll be racing in Sonoma, so I could show you what they look like. Good luck.
