My Opinion -

This thread, is in no way meant to take away anything from the craftsmanship and / or quality of these new cars or their builders, because these cars ARE AWESOME!!

But what it does is bring light again, to the fact that NHRA has allowed some, to totally screw-up the Super Stock class and it's rules, because they didn't enforce what was already in place.

Besides Mike Lyons comments here about his Probe...
I'd like to see pictures and hear comments from somebody who has one of the Original Style FWD Conversion SS/GT cars like FJ Smith used to build, chime in also...

Tell us / show us how they compare to this latest acceptable version of a FWD - SS/GT car.

And then, if somebody can...
Explain to all of us, What actually happened @ the O.E.M. Factory Level (in Construction Methods or Designs) that "May Have" required this loosening of the rules to construct a New / Current GT car?
