I would think the 59' Mercury maybe the "King" in the pre-60' era.
Not sure on the "King" of the pre-70' era.
But a nice ODD-BALL Tons-Of-Steel Match Race for 1970-and-later cars.
1970 Pontiad Grand Prix SSJ, 455/370HP H.O. (M-21 4-speed)
versus
1970 Plymouth Sport Fury GT, 440/390 Six-Barrell (Torque-Flite)
Not sure who wins the Best-of-3 Match Race, but the loser gets towed
to a scrap-metal/junkyard and comes back as (2) Toyota Corolla's.
