The 4488895 casting was a service replacement for the 3196291 '70 360"-390" motors. ....It has a slightly stronger casting at the 90 deg machined areas at the end exhaust ports . ....I was replacing them on cars under warrenty back then because that area was prone to cracking .......This is an excellent head with very little work. ...I used many of them back in the mid '70s for my B/SM Javelin and other bracket motors. .....I have a heavily ported set on the shelf , they were as fast as some of the new ported aluminum heads ,but we got a little thin on the exhaust roof ,and the engine tends to run a little too hot .................Tom
