I also use the large Moroso one. One thing that is very important with the Moroso or any other unit is that you do keep it full. The time it takes to fill it up when you start the engine is very hard on your bearings and cam. It’s like running the engine for 10 seconds without oil if you start with it empty.
But I do exactly as Mr. Butler when I want to run fast I use my pan heaters to preheat the oil.
What’s best is to store the car with the accumulator full so you don’t have that initial dry start. Pre lube before start up, run the motor for a short time to get everything wet and then shut it off and let the accumulator drain and then start heating your oil.

Has anyone tried putting a heater on their accumulator?
