Based on the fact that the beads move out 1" per side while the tread end doesn't, I would guesstimate that the section width would grow by about 1/2" per side.

It's been a while since I actually marked and measured any slippage on the rim, but from what I recall, after a couple of races, the movement became minimal or stopped. I do swap the wheel/tire assembly from side-to-side betyween events. Air pressure will be a factor. I run about 21 lbs in my lightweight 9" Hoosier radials on 10" Holeshot wheels.
