Heres also what I feel is screwing things up. I had similar issues like this one.I feel the lifter is bled down when you are adjusting the lash! It will tighten your lash when the lifters fill back up from oil.(ex engine runs for a minute). I would loosen things up, start the engine do one side at a time (quickly as to not let the oil bleed out) then do the other side. Now if this does not work I can tell you the lifters are junk. Trust me as im not going to get into the full details but I have taken these lifters apart and was very suprised at all that makes them work or not work. Also call Allen and tell him the status and they can guide you more. Hope this helps Mike
