The '66 D/Dart and late year 235hp cars had the 8 3/4 I bought one from the local Dodge dealer to replace the 7 1/4 that blew about every time I power shifted the 4 speed and that was with a 225, your right the small bolt pattern is least desirable and the '75's got the new 8 1/4.
