Buick 350 at 266 HP
So call me crazy but I?ve sold my Stock eliminator 1970 340 Cuda and going on an adventure that I?m kinda excited about, have purchased Danny Wilson?s 1974 Buick Apollo J K L/SA stock eliminator car out of Illinois from another individual that bought it out of his estate, past owner has gone 3/10 under, looking for recommendations on the go to guys for these Cyl. Heads and how good are these cranks, blocks, can you take them .070 over safely or as I suspect a sonic checker needed? Thank you in advance?Chad

No fancy crank ,and it was fine, until it busted at the first journal . No telling what caused it. Replaced it , and it lasted until I sold the car, anyway. Dave Layer did my heads. I got the "medium" job.. LOL They might be familiar with the Buick heads out there.Worth a call anyway. The oiling system takes a bit of attention on Buicks. You can call me and I will tell you what I know about them. |

I'll just call you crazy and leave it at that LOL, loved the Cuda and good luck with the Buick. I talked to Alf Wiebe a while at the Woodburn Divisional; sure he knows quite a bit on them and likewise I'm sure he's got an inside info line to Jason Line.
