Data Logger and Weather Station recommendations

As it says, I'm looking for recommendations for both a data logger and Weather Station. Not trying to break the bank, but I do believe in buy once, cry once. As for as data logging, minimum of RPM, drive shaft speed, accelerometer, air/fuel, and would like to record engine temp, battery voltage etc. Have no idea what to look for in a weather station, so would appreciate real world recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Not familiar with that site. I just signed on to look at it. That's pretty handy. Have you found it to stay current? If so, that's definitely a money saver. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Tony,

In terms of weather station, Computech Race Air Pro, is by far the best in my opinion. https://computech.com/product/raceai...ather-station/

They have various versions, with trailer systems and pagers, but we use just the handheld version. The key is to ensure to measure the weather the same way everytime.

As for datalogging systems, there are a bunch of various systems out there. We use RPM products. https://www.rpmperf.com/store/datalogger-systems. They were very helpful and allowed us to customize our own system with the sensors we needed. Found them to be the most cost effective system for us.

There is also, RacePak which a lot of people use and very good systems. Computech also has their own system which is DataMaxx.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Avery

Thank you. I'm familiar with RacePak. I'll look into RPM

For a Data Logger, you can't do better than a RacePak. Most guys are fine with the Sportsmen Series.

As for weather, I picked up a PerformAire Pro PC last summer with the paging option and oxygen sensor. I run it through Crew Chief Pro software. It's scarily accurate, as far as ET prediction goes.

My $.02.

Concur with Computech.

Look into the PDS data logging. First class customer service.

Racepak makes good stuff. Getting help on the phone is a different story these days.

I would never recommend using a website or app for weather data if you are serious about this deal.
