I dynoed with C11 & F8 they made the same power & torque. And as stated above the price is lot more racer friendly than c11.

I tried to support them, but failed fuel check twice, and others have often as well. Class racing is hard enough, and the risk of losing a qualifying run and the stress/debacle of switching fuels isn?t worth it.

Had to go back to VP.

I started running it late part of last year and haven't had any problems with fuel check. I have a dealer nearby, so it's easy to get for me.

Re: Fuel Factory

I see a lot of class racers either sticking with VP exclusively or trying fuel factory stuff. I'm sure it's not true but it feels like I'm the only one running Sonoco. I've always run the Blue variety and never had problems. Is there a reason more class racers don't use it? I can usually buy it for around $10/gal so I know it's cheaper than VP, not sure on FF.

I also run the blue but it is nowhere to be found close to me since the main Georgia distributor went away a few years ago. Always got it at nationals and BG but no more nationals now. I found a FF source but since I started this thread I got phone call about another source for blue so problem solved. Thanks for all the comments.

Re: Fuel Factory

For us, in a Stock 427/425, and a Super Stock 396/375, Sonoco was slower, down about 10 on HP, than C12, and I made the most power on C14+.

The main cimplaint with C12 is that it sometimes didn't pass fuel check, even from a fresh, just opened VP drum on their trailer. NHRA would always "adjust", however it was a hassle, and sometimes they wouldn't re-instate a qualifying shot.

A lower compression and/or smaller engine might not care.

Terry, I also use Sunoco Blue, let me know if I can help get some for you at Bowling Green.

Re: Fuel Factory

We made our first 14 runs on F8 after switching from C11.

Price point with the F8 is easier on the wallet versus VP fuel. Fuel Factory is continuing to grow it's networks of dealers across the US, so the availability is getting better for more racers to get their hands on the fuel.

We did notice more top end power in our combo (327 275hp SS Combo with a Q Jet). Engine builders around here that Dyno'd it versus VP did notice some HP gains in certain combos as well.
