Small runner intake gaskets
Need recommendations for sbc small port intake gaskets. Specifically for 520 super stock port. I was using Mr. Gasket 100's and cutting for fit. No issues until they seem to be out of stock or discontinued. I can buy gasket material and cut one out, but was hoping for something close and minimize cut to fit. Thanks.

Re: Small runner intake gaskets
FelPro once had a huge selection of small block Chevy intake gaskets.

Re: Small runner intake gaskets
Take a look at the SCE catalog. they have many different size and port shape SBC intake gaskets. plus their material is far better than the old MR Gasket material.

Re: Small port intake gaskets
Thanks everyone. I?m looking at some sce gaskets. Not sure if they will fit the bill, time will tell. Worse case, I will buy gasket sheet and cut to fit. Hoping there was another option.

Re: Small runner intake gaskets
Send a gasket that you have fitted to your head to Cometic and they will reproduce that gasket with your P/N on it.
Ed I talked to Lance Line this past weekend and he said that you give him call he should have what you need at Line Performance in Wright Minn. Dirk |

Re: Small runner intake gaskets
Ditto on cometic cutting a gasket for you with your own part number.
Matches perfectly if you do your homework and send either a detailed cad drawing or a perfect template. However, unless anything has changed I wasn?t at all happy with the gasket material they use. It?s quite hard and doesn?t compress very well. Given that there is normally a slight variation in the angle between head and manifold no matter how careful you are with your angle mill calcs, measurements and execution you can wind up with coolant weepers down into the galley you won?t see. Plenty or rtv around the coolant passages is a must! Kp |
