Interesting SS Leave
I don't ever remember seeing a SS car do this. Yes, every once in a while with an Altered.
Brings up an interesting thought process - is this what makes it so fast or could an improvement be made? https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCP...UMMIT#indextop |

Re: Interesting SS Leave
I think this was Mike's second qualifying run, not surprisingly the car made a hard left and he let off.
However I don't think he returned for eliminations. Hopefully Mike will enlighten us. |
Re: Interesting SS Leave
That's a very interesting photo, lol.
I along with several others had major traction issues in the left lane that session. Several cars had to abort their runs and the decision was made to drag the track mid session. After this they dragged the track before each round of super stock. |

Re: Interesting SS Leave
I watched the video of this event Saturday night and became increasingly angry with car after car blowing the tires off in the left lane. Last summer a fellow D3 racer smacked the wall in Bowling Green after the three pair before him lost traction. I have been a victim as well as a victor because of traction issues in the past. Regarding stock and superstock, I am asking if our SRAC reps could bring this issue up with the division directors and starting line crews that if they see 3 cars in a row blow the tires off or 3 out of 5, could they stop and reprep the lane(s)? A one-off John Force burnout off the line may just be someone who lined up poorly, dripped water, or poor set-up, etc. but when a string of several well-prepped cars have this happen in a row, there is a problem with the track. Stopping for 10 minutes and burning a gallon of diesel and 10 dollars of VHT is less costly than a car or a life. This is a safety issue.
