What is everyone using for a neutral safety switch on the Turbo Action shifter with a 904?- anyone have a kit that makes a clean install?

Thanks

We use the factory switch that screws into the trans in all our cars.

Yes, we have the 3 prong switch in the trans now, is there a harness available that will plug into that and hook up somewhere on the Turbo Action shifter?

I believe the wiring goes to the starter/ignition and does not go to the shifter unless you have the console for the Turbo Action. The switch in the trans controls the starter function. Adjust the switch to start in neutral, and it may not start in park. Normal with a Turbo Action. I have one that never starts in park, one that always starts in park, and one that does just what it wants; sometime it does, sometime it doesn't, it is obviously a female. If you need more, call me 888-876-1817 and I will talk to my guys and get you more details. We have MSD digitals in two cars, and a 7AL2 in the other. Always tell the phone person its about racing stuff.

You can use the old '60s single post switch from a 904 or 727 to provide a ground circuit to a starter relay. .... They are still available from a NAPA store. . ....I've installed quite a few Turbo action shifters and have found that the switches they offer work correctly when mounted against a solid surface, the problems arise when mounted on top of the carpeting, which allows too much flex between the switch and the shifter. .....You do always have to play with the adjustment a little, but I installed 3 in the past year and they all worked, park and neutral ..... The single pole is obviously a male.
