Super Stock cylinder head and Victor E history question
I was wondering what was the first year that porting etc was allowed in super stock? Guessing early nineties? The next question, was the Victor E manifold designed during the era before porting was legal or after? Was thinking about the small ports at the flange and maybe it was thought to be obsolete and so they stopped production? Thanks

During the PRI show, I had a long discussion with Edelbrock's Director of Marketing for cylinder heads. He confirmed the position of upper management at Edelbrock and it also applies to the NHRA approved line of cylinder heads also. Their emphasis is the LS and new LT engine and similar new engine platforms. Their preference is to sell fully assembled Performer RPM cylinder heads and not specific or specialty use parts. This is also the premise and emphasis of other vendors including Dart and others. |
