dualchannel tach w/ stick car? who's using them?
i'm thinking about buying the autometer ultimate 2 with the download software. does it give good info to help make educated clutch adjustments? is the software easy to use? how well does the 4 stage shift lite work?

AutoMeter's ultimate II with the tach facts software is a very inexpensive alternative to a expensive data logger. It will give you the engine and drive shaft RPM which will give you enough information to tune the clutch from. The software is similar to the data facts which is used with AutoMeter's data loggers and is simple to use. I ran one in my Super Stocker before upgrading to the AutoMeter data logger.
Just my personal preference but I didn't use the 4 stage shift light settings with this tach. I just set them all the same to keep it simple and avoid any chance of some how mis-triggering the system. |
