5.3 Chevy Engine
 
Why is the 5.3 Chevy engine NOT listed in the NHRA Stock Car Classification Guide?
I know it only comes in trucks and Suburbans, but it would make a good engine combination for a GT class.

Also came in 2008 Impala, but seeing it's FWD, you'd have to use the matching trans, so that's a no-go.

Except the Colorado only came with the 5.3 in crewcab form. Not condusive for drag racing

What I was trying to say was why couldn't you use the 5.3 in a Super Stock GT car?
