Late Mustang rear 'Quad Shocks" ?
Ok, helping my brother we are building a 1996 Mustang for Stock Eliminator..V6 car. Got a 8.8 rear to replace the 7.5 stock rear. Installing a complete Moser Spool, Axle, C-Clip Elim..kit. Will also be using aftermarket upper, lower control arms with drag shocks. Keep the stock V6 spring..anyway, being a Chevy guy
what are the Quad Shocks...? Do we need them for a drag car..? Does anybody use them..thanks for all info. Will & Rob Lamprecht 1996 Mustang..T/SA |

BTW, you now have a 97 or 98 car ..96 is not in the book. ;-) |
Re: Late Mustang rear 'Quad Shocks" ?
Quad shocks are there to help rear axle stability while using the flimsy factory upper and lower control arms. If your going with aftermarket pieces in the rear then they are no longer a necessity. As stated- check with the rule makers but i have never heard of anyone mandating their use.
