what to use to electric shift a turbo 400

Hey guys i am new to this forum and was looking for some advice on the best way to hook some kind of electric shift kit to our turbo 400 tranny. We have a hurst quarter stick shifter and we already bought a shiftnoid electric shift setup. However i dont know if that is the best idea since i have no clue on how to set it up and how to adjust it where there will be two seperate shift points at two different rpms. I have heard about the biondo setup where you can change it digitaly and adjust for two shift points but i have not heard from anyone who actually uses it. Any suggestions will be appreciated and please keep price in mind.

Thanks
T

I've made a air opperated 3 speed shifter for our Super Street car from a B&M ratchet shifter, The air servo and control valve cost about $35 at Grainger. ... Use any co2 bottle and regulator.. ....The Biondo dual rpm control is the easiest way to control the shifts, altho some of the newer ignition boxes have multiple shift control capability. ... Keep in mind you can shift on time or rpm, but not a combination of the two. .... If you are interested in copying what I built , e-mail me and I'll give you a parts list and a drawing of what I did. ..... Tom

ACD and MSD both have a setup that will work for what you are doing. I have worked with both of them and the ACD is eaiser to use.

The ACD is the Cadillac of 3-speed auto shifters for a Quarter Stick, but all of the setups require you to render the lock gates inoperative.

Not sure if the combination shift controller from Biondo is legal to hook up to the tach output of your ignition or not.....I'd say if there is a timer in it, it would fall into the same category as the Mega-Box in that regard.
No tach or other ignition input to the Mega-Box is allowed.
Long STUPID story on that witch hunt.
