NO SST at E-Town National Event
 

The only National Event in D1 with SST that is within a reasonable driving distance for most D1 SST racers has been taken away. What can we do? Nothing I guess but lets try to get it back! Any suggestions??? At least let NHRA and D1 know we don't agree.

Agree - this sucks!!
Guess they are trying to increase car count at Virginia - and guess what, we'll still probably only be allowed 50 cars!!!!
We can talk to Lang at the Grove, but don't think he can do anything and NHRA doesn't care!!

well as has been debated on this forum many,many, times. there is nothing that we as a group, or racers or anything else can do. the next step is of coarce "out". now that wally parks is gone (god rest his soul) the future of sportsman racing in national events is near its end. but, assuming that it is not. my idea would be to not attend. its an easy 7 hours from central jersey if not more.

i have wanted to attend this race since i saw my first race ever. but, problems always got in my face. either, personall problems would not allow it, or i didn't race enough. in any case my dream has never been fullfilled. now it looks like it never will. but, i'll keep hope alive. talk about the perfect test base for 2 national events in the same division. divison one north and division one south.

That sucks! I raced my *** off this year so I could race SST at Englishtown. I got into S/G this year w/ a grade 2 and now that will be the only .90 class there next year....go figure! Looks like we are all going to have to pool our money together and build a Pro Stock, just so we can race and not be treated like second class racers.

Settle down folks, I spoke with Bob, he assured me it was an error on NHRA's part and they are fixing it. Super Street will definately be at E-town next year.

Do you just think this crap up? What do you think Wally Parks ACTUALLY did at NHRA? NOTHING! The fact is that we come second rate to NHRA's Schedule, I do not think that they can get rid of us for 2 reasons. 1) we bring lots of money in for NHRA to staff the facility and pay for a huge part of the race. 2) Fans do not find DEAD TRACK enjoyable. They need Filler, and that is what we are FILLER!

No bunching panties here! I will have won Englishtown Nationals in S/C for 2 years due to we are not in the schedule for 08. Guess I will have to run Stock and S/G. Oh well
