4 dr mopar ss
Trying to get some info on a 63-65 Mopar SS that has 4 doors. I see that its listed in the index. Supposedly 2 or just the one was on the east coast and was possibly re-branded. Another from the south or southwest. Might be all the same car. Any help?

Pretty vague question...not exactly sure what you're looking for here. There were a couple dozen '63 Max Wedge 4-doors though (Dodge & Plymouth, Low and High Compression mixed).

Re: 4 dr mopar ss
Didn't Bob Marshall have a 4 door '65 Coronet in SS at one time?

Station wagons have 4 doors.

SW are a separate issue. I need to track down some photos of these 4 door wonders.I think 1966 was the last year for the 4 door BB SS/ cars.

Re: 4 dr mopar ss
The 1966 (and '67) four-door Hemi cars were standard production Street Hemi cars. They had no "S/S" parts...for example, the automatics came with 8 3/4 rears, and a 3.23 gear.
As far as what's in the guide...Chrysler submitted specs for numerous combinations that were never built. 99.99% chance, you're not going to find what you're looking for. I'm assuming it's a Max Wedge car you're seeking, as there are no four door Hemi's in the guide for 1964 or 1965. Again, there were some 1963 Max Wedge four-doors built. Primarily Plymouths. There were both low and high compression, as well as Stick and Auto. There is a high compression, 3-speed four-door Belvedere under restoration in California right now. None of the '63 four door Max Wedge cars were equipped with the aluminum package. |
Re: 4 dr mopar ss
Bob Renaldi ran a 4 door Max Wedge Plymouth or Dodge back in 1963 that came from the Factory thru the dealership he worked . That is the only one I have ever seen or heard of.
