Tires may hit fender
I put 275-60 15 nitto drag radials on my Mustang Fox Body. There is about 1.5" of clearance around the tire but if the body came down 2" under launch it will hit the tires. I didn't want to flare the fenders if I don't have too. What can I do to insure the body doesn't squat in the rear?

Re: Tires may hit fender
If your chassis works correctly, the car will not drop down over the rear end/tires.
That unloads the tires. |
Re: Tires may hit fender
Baseline Suspension, Team Z and others all make bolt in rear suspension kits that can adjust anti-squat or you can always throw in the trusty airbag in the RR for a inexpensive fix.

Re: Tires may hit fender
Steve,
You could roll the inner fender lip to give more clearance. What is the application, and what rear suspension modifications do you have? I am with Ed!! If it is setup correctly it will separate, and not drop down on the tire. I run a system like the baseline suspension that Brian listed. It is an adjustable upper control arm similar to a 4 link. It allows pinion angle adjustment along with IC adjustment. Sean |
Re: Tires may hit fender
The current suspension is stock. We just put new gears, axles and differential.
