Re: torque converter
Someone must have tried an aluminum converter in a stocker or super stocker. It would be interesting to hear of the results.

Re: torque converter
When I inquired several years ago they did not make that converter for the 904 trans. Suggest you call and ask!

Re: torque converter
A-1 Makes a converter for a 904 and for a 727. I don't know if Coan does but it would be nice to hear of any gains in et from an aluminum converter.

Re: torque converter
I'd be surprised if you get much feedback, but consider this: every Comp car has switched and if money was not an issue....... would you rather have a CNC Billet machined piece or some guy bending the fins with a pair of pliers?

In out stocker, 1 lb of rotating weight / accelerated weight, is worth .01 of ET...Our new bolt together is approx 4 lbs lighter than current steel ones. I can't see 6 to 8 unless you are starting with a really heavy converter! The less HP you have the more the weight is worth. We are approx 700 hp at 3400 lbs. |
