Re: Pit radio advice
Other than early 1990s GM pickup factory radios for 12 volts (can be installed in an enclosed trailer with good speakers) & there are yellow plastic portable radios used at job sites, for 110 volts. You can buy them at places like Home Depot. Mine picks up good old Unk's golden voice loud & clear when nothing else will. Inside or outside my trailer. Has a compartment for batteries, I have never run mine off batteries.

Re: Pit radio advice
I have this little guy and it's amazing. Loud and clear with good channel locking. At the track you need a radio that will filter out static and interference so do yourself a favor and don't go cheap.

Re: Pit radio advice
3M Tekk hearing protection with built in AM/FM Radio. Can pick them up at most box stores for around $40. Has a digital tuner and the ear muffs style hearing protection works great.

It's over
I ordered Dale's recommendation, mainly because he has one, and no Jeremy, I'm not wearing ear muffs, regardless of price and quality....I look like a goof enough w/o any head accessories Thanks all |
