Pit radio advice

After 25 years of asking neighbor what did they say? I am looking for a good portable radio to listen to tower and announcing
I've gone thru about 4, one had an antenna, and if not position just so, no hear

Besides in trailor, I'd like to take on golf cart
Antenna?

Thanks in advance

Other than early 1990s GM pickup factory radios for 12 volts (can be installed in an enclosed trailer with good speakers) & there are yellow plastic portable radios used at job sites, for 110 volts. You can buy them at places like Home Depot. Mine picks up good old Unk's golden voice loud & clear when nothing else will. Inside or outside my trailer. Has a compartment for batteries, I have never run mine off batteries.

I have this little guy and it's amazing. Loud and clear with good channel locking. At the track you need a radio that will filter out static and interference so do yourself a favor and don't go cheap.

3M Tekk hearing protection with built in AM/FM Radio. Can pick them up at most box stores for around $40. Has a digital tuner and the ear muffs style hearing protection works great.

It's over
I ordered Dale's recommendation, mainly because he has one, and no Jeremy, I'm not wearing ear muffs, regardless of price and quality....I look like a goof enough w/o any head accessories

Thanks all

Let me know how it works out for you. I did a bunch of looking before ordering mine.

The most aggravating thing at a race. Trying to get good reception on the radio broadcast!
