Strange Spindle mount wheels questions
2 years ago I bought a set of the Weld Aluma Star wheels for Strange spindle mount. Today I finally got around to putting them on and they won't fit. After you put the disc brake on the wheel and put the bearings in it will slide all the way on until it hits the strut. The part # on the box is 78-15001 and the box says for Strange spindles. I'm doing this at my buddy's shop who has a 63' Vette with the Anglia Spindles and my wheels are the same exact wheel as his. I know Strange has a new Ultra Strut could these wheels that I have be for that? Do they still make it for the older strut - my car was built in 95'. Or could it be that the wrong wheels got put in the right box? Is anybody else running the old strut with these wheels or am I just not seeing something? The hub on the old wheels I took off are alot deeper than the new ones. I would defintley appreciate any help.

Re: Strange Spindle mount wheels questions
Strange struts use two style spindles. The ultra strut uses the anglia style spindle. The standard aluminum strut uses a spindle based off of the 67-69 camaro. Sounds like you have wheels for the ultra struts. Hope this helps.

Re: Strange Spindle mount wheels questions
Thanks! I talked with Weld Wheels a few days ago and they said I have a case of the wrong wheels in the right box. They said they would trade me out for the right wheels.

Wow. Now there is customer service. An honest mistake was made 2 years ago and they are going to make it right.
