Electric radiator fan recommendations

Shopping for an electric cooling fan for my '78 Camaro stocker with stock size radiator. What size, cfm rating, and amperage would be sufficient for adequate cooling ? Curved or straight blades ?

Joe, I have the same car as you. I use a Flex-a-lite fan # 118. 2500 CFM.
Works good for me. I do not use a shroud, for no particular reason.
18 Amp draw, be sure to use a relay.

Chevrolet HHR from your Chevy parts department is a nice one. It has a built in shroud. It fits my 68 Camaro like its factory but your radiator is probably wider

Joe, I run the 175/275 HP, 350 CID in "I" trim. Stick setup.
I run my car as a coupe. The Z28 is to heavy to be a natural "I".

Shaun,
I own a 2011 HHR as my daily driver. That's an idea. Hmmm...

Why is a relay needed? Just curious, I've never used a relay, just a toggle switch and an inline fuse.

It's a lot of amps to pull thru the switch. The wire can get real hot. This way the switch only triggers the relay.
