i like heads up
thats why i go to nationals to run heads up, the fast or best driver is going to win sometimes
like pro stock or funny you work hard on your car and see who wins to me winning class is everything thats as good as pro stock or anything else the last part of the ladder never gets torn down why?????????? |
Re: i like heads up
I like it too, if there were no heads up runs I would not be building a class car. I support the idea of combining classes and forcing more heads up runs.
If I lived in the east I would be building a car to run in one of the smaller organizations that feature several heads up classes but out here in the west I am stuck with NHRA. |
Re: i like heads up
Why are there classes if no one wanted to run Heads up? Thats what it started out to be about.

Re: i like heads up
I agree in stock. Also need more human judgement in factoring within classes.

Re: i like heads up
Vic,
Come to Division V with a lower qualifying car, say Brainerd. There have been plenty of those cars in teardown up here. Ed is right! Until they start policing the $5000 heads and $2000 CRANKS in Stock, the guy with the most money will be the guy that likes "heads-up". Sure, there are guys that do it with hard work - LEGALLY. But they're the exception, not the rule. Jerry |
Re: i like heads up
Heads up is where its at.! First to the finish line is WAY COOL..

Re: i like heads up
They need to trash that AHFS, go back to a committee of people that make decisions on hp., and start taking off power instead of putting it on, how damned heavy do they want these cars? First round of class is downright dangerous with everybody having to slam on the brakes to keep from going too fast, who wants to see that crap?? Their system is not working, but they implemented it so that they would not have to mess with us, let us go out and hang ourselves, or let someone else do it for you, they don't care. Combo's that really need hp. don't get it, but others do, FAIR????
