Ford C4 Transmission Ratio/ Converter for W/SA
 

Trying to decide if we need the 2.92 first gear set or the 2.75 set for my friend John's W/SA Pinto Wagon.I would guess the 2.92, but thought I would ask and see if anyone that has ran a 2300 Ford would share any information about it.

Also for now looks like it's going to be running a a 9" rear with a 6.20 gear and 26" tires since this is what he already has in stock. Still trying to figure out who to have build a converter for it as well. I am sure it will need a lot with that little 112 HP engine. Might even be interested in a used one if one is floating around.

Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

Be careful of the drop between 1st and 2nd gear, it could slow the car down unless you change the 2nd gear ratio a tad. On top of that, where do you get c4 gear sets anymore because I have been looking a while and can't afford $2,000+ for the Pro Trans sets. Doesn't look like Kilgore or Broader make them anymore?
