ben cardillo
Wanted:

Re: ben cardillo
Reported to be it behind the Pontiac. Found it over on the HAMB. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/a...-7-jpg.424574/
Looks like it still at normal wheelbase in this picture. |
Re: ben cardillo
Thanks... Hopefully I can get a full shot of it. Is this Al Ecstrands Lawman Hemi? Was this car then sold to Joe Aed/Housley? They look identical...

Read: http://www.moparmax.com/features/2011/vi_1-lions-1.html There is a mention in one of the comments on this article about the car going to Joe Aed and run as a C/A. From what I can find, yes it was previously a "Lawman" car. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/u...1366756221.jpg |

Re: ben cardillo
Thanks, and great pics. With the chrome trim on the savoy sedan Lawman and for the Cardillo's car, it seems they could be the same car(no trim on savoy hemi cars).
I am familiar with the article. 4 max wedge converted hemi cars(2 sticks and 2 autos, 2 dodges and 2 plymouths) showed up but did not run at the NHRA winternationals feb. 1964. Ekstrand registered two cars, the Lawman and the Outlaw(hemi)AFX. I was wondering if the car in the article(the outlaw) became the new hemi Lawman sedan. Looking at how they blacked out around the headlights for the car in the article and the Lawman hemi also with Joe Aed's car, it seems it is the same car. |
