Total Seal ring question

I don't see a ring kit with spacers smaller than 3.800. (MA3800)Can those be filed down to fit .040 305. Or...are there other options other than those. Trying to put back together my motor on a budget(LOL) and I need new pistons. Gonna due a new motor over the winter and this will be my spare.

Re: Total Seal ring question

Call them. They have parts that aren't always shown in the catalog.

Re: Total Seal ring question

Call Keith Jones at Total Seal, tell him I sent you. He will put together a ring package for you, and give you the ring groove dimensions to give your piston supplier, or you can give Keith your supplier rep's email address, and get them together.

Re: Total Seal ring question

I was curious because that set is less than $400 and I was thinking they were normally around $900. And I haven't decided between JE or CP pistons yet

Either piston company will be fine, I use both.

I usually spec out my own ring set with help from Keith, I also do my own gas ports in the spacers, and build my oil ring with open stock parts from Speed Pro, so I'm not real sure what the out the door price is on a complete ready to go package.

Re: Total Seal ring question

If you talk to Darrin at Patterson about your pistons he can coordinate the ring combo with Total Seal. As Alan said Keith at Total seal will help you get the correct parts and coordinate with your piston manufacturer to get the ring lands correct for the ring package.
