Here I go again,
We have a 65 Chevelle that my dad bought new in 64. At the moment we are running it in Super Street. We have back halved the car but most of the original frame is gone except for the outside rails. The floor and firewall are steel but not stock. The rearend is a dana ladder bar setup. I still have the orig hood and inner fenderwells. I think we could get repop firewall and floors trunk and hood, put the small block and glide or four speed, amongst a few other things, in and go super stock racing. What are your thoughts. Is this car too far gone or can it be done. We have other options but this is my dads favorite car and is already cut up and is a good candidate in my opnion.

what combo?
what engine combo ?
sbc? |
Probably the 327, the 396 is not a great motor to make a lot of power with and that would put us in SS/ A or B I think? But that is a big car to ask a small block to get in the low 10's with

Dusitn that car makes a great SS/MA car witha 283! If SS is something you want to race go for it! the only thig you need is MONEY!!

I could be wrong(if I am someone here will let you know) but if you run a 283 stick combo you would run SS/L. There is a few out there. Rosebush in Michigan has one. That would put you in the mid 10 range with the car. I always say if I can have a Super Stocker anyone can trust me. Good luck with your car.
