Air Shifter for Turboaction shifter W clean Nuetral

Lost yet another round going 1-3 on launch so its time to put air/electric in it and be done with it.

Its a Turbo Action 3 speed reverse pattern with the clean neutral valve body, which makes shifting by hand very challenging and causes all the issues.....a PPP would not be an issue.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Eric

Eric, I have the biondo seloniod on the reverse cheetah shifter,(air) no problems, bolts right on, I also have a digital delay programmer, that's who makes the unit to punch in the shift points. I can send you pics of both before I put them in the Cuda.

Get the Biondo air shift deal and a Turbo Action E Shift Controller. Since you already have the Turbo Action shifter, no use getting rid of that, unless you want to.

Thank You all for the suggestions, I have a complete ACD system which will work with clean neutral, on order and hope to be ready to go with it for Atco. I know how nice the PPP's are as I have one in the dragpak, but the existing turbo action shifter is best for the unique fit in the Dakota and its period correct for this pilot vehicle, former Mopar Performance Team Truck.

It will be different to launch with my hands on the wheel, like a street car.

Thanks

Eric

Pardon my ignorance, but could someone explain to me what the "clean neutral" valve body is about, and how it leads to this problem?

Since I was planning on a Turbo Action shifter in my build I just want to be sure I'm not setting myself up for a problem.

Dave,

Clean neutral is true neutral and effectively simulates pushing the clutch in on a stick car. On my cars/truck is after 3rd gear, so it can be gotten to safely. Concept is it puts less wear and tear on the engine especially lower end, since you are not engine braking it to slow down. The Turboaction shift plate does work if you have the correct one, but its real tough to do it consistently BY HAND, the PPP shifter you can do by hand all day long without issue.

When adding air shifting, the air shifter market caters to the vast majority of racers that do not have a clean neutral tranny with their Turbo Action Shifter.

If you don't need/want clean neutral it will save you some coin on the valve body, and give you all the options you want for air shift.

Or you can pick your color of your PPP shifter and go that route, they are very nice shifters.

Thanks, I get the concept. Since I won't be using their clean neutral valve body I presume then I shouldn't have a problem shifting with the Turbo Action shifter.
