Automated shift lite tach problems
Anyone have an issue with shift lite not coming on the same every run?.
I thought Chip was bad and put an adjustable MSD module in it worked right a few passes now the samething |

Chip
Is the tach working right all the time? Any bounce to it? Check ground on all of it. Also wire from box or tach and the 12 volt source. Sounds like a loose wire IF the tach is working right. Also, not sure if it's LED or bulb type light but if bulb, make sure it is not loose. I will call you later. Ken Stock 412 |
Re: Automated shift lite tach problems
Ken tach seems OK.
Had 5800 Chip in it but it wouldn't come on til 6200 Put adjustable MSD module on it. Set it at 5400. Light came on at 5800 for about 10 passes. First and Second rd at Union it came on at 5400. Moved it to 5600 at Rockingham. It came on at 5800 every pass there and at Roxboro. Went to Budds Creek and it varied from 6000 and up. It's like the signal to the light is erratic. Does light work off the tach or the MSD |
Re: Automated shift lite tach problems
Depends on type of shift light? Where is signal wire coming from?
What model is this light? Ken Stock 412 |
Re: Automated shift lite tach problems
It could be the voltage to your MSD box is not "Clean & steady" I've been told that can make the tach output signal vary.
