64 Falcon Wagon front suspension?
Got a little 2 door been racing for 10 years ladder bar rear with stock front end components! The car works pretty good but think front needs some help!It has stock type shocks from the Zone will the Calvert 90/10 be helpful also read about the roller perches are they hype or do the perches really help? Any other tips that may be helpful it's also a 6 Cyl front end with the 4 lug drrum brakes I have a complete V8 5 lug front end I can use? Brakes are ok what about a disc swap read also about the Scarbird kits or just stay with the drums?
Thanks! |

Re: 64 Falcon Wagon front suspension?
Mine has basically stock parts. The upper control arm have been lowered an inch (the old Shelby trick). 90/10 shocks and Moroso springs. The springs I cut 3 loops to get the nose down. After a couple of years added 1' rubber spacers to raise it a little. The rubber is getting beat out of the spring perches so the roller bearing ones would be a good upgrade. Poly bushings for the strut rods and a thick washers. Mine tries to pull the nut through the thinner washers. Willwood disc brakes up front. My Sprint will run 10.50's - .60's with low 1.40's 60' numbers footbraking with a 2 step.

It's basically identical to '64 Mustang suspension, right? If so, call Pustelny at MPR. He has setup for them.
