E shift ?? 200 metric

If you have one with E shift can you run it manually, I had been told you had to run power to the plug on the side of the tranny and was just checking thanks.I took a glide out and put this one in and I do not have an e shift controller

E-shift is Turbo Action. You can bypass the E-shift function and make it a full manual.

Re: E shift ?? 200 metric

I put 12 volt to the plug on the side and it will do the 2-3 but not 1-2.Checked shifter linkage everything is fine. There is 2 prongs on the side one goes to 1-2 shift the other to 2-3 both have 12 volt.If i take the 12 volt off it will not do 2-3 shift so i no that gear can be bypassed. The bad thing is I dont have much info on the trans so there may be something wrong with it and i am just fighting a losing battle not sure. Thanks for the help!!

Re: E shift ?? 200 metric

If you put 12v to both prongs it should work manually. There is a solenoid that controls each shift. It could possibly be a faulty solenoid.

You can but you change wires at E-Shift

Hi,

Is this an NHRA Stock Eliminator car???????????????/

If it is a Stocker that ran a PowerGlide than I don't think that an E-Shift TH-200 is legal?????

This is what the 2015 NHRA Rules Book states:
"Electronic rpm controls for the electric (internal or external to the
transmission) shifting of automatic transmissions permitted in
computer-controlled vehicles only"

Just my thoughts,
Bob

I have seen E-Shifts in a few non computer controlled cars. This might be something for NHRA tech to look for going forward.

IF you not using the controller box. And you still have to move the shifter to make it shift. Your not really using E-shift are you? The way I read it that's what he is trying to do. Which sounds ok to me but I'll admit I'm still new at this.
