Electric fuel pressure guage

Has anyone had experience (good or bad) using an electric fuel pressure
guage?

I love digital fuel gauges. Easy to read, and no spastic needles floppin' around. And no expensive isolators, anti-freeze, and hoses. And in my experience they've proven to be very accurate.

Ken, did you mount your sending unit on the block, fender, firewall or elsewhere.

The sender was screwed into the regulator (1/8th inchNPT) and I retained a small 15# gauge tee'd into the regulator for comparison purposes. Pretty much like an electric temp sender would look like; sender wired straight to the gauge. Easy to read LED numbers in 1/2 pound increments, even at speed. Not all that expensive either.

I wish I had kept that gauge; with car attached of course!

Autometer electric gauge, sender at the elbow for the carb. Works fine.

Looking at the Auto Meter 4361 installation guide, it recommends that the sending unit
be isolated from vibration. That's why I was wondering about the best place for the sending unit.

I tried the autometer electric digital water temp and oil pressure guages. They were nice and worked good at idle, but when I put RPM's up on the motor, then the display would go crazy flickering, couldn't read. Don't know if a grounding issue or what, I did not have time to trouble shoot so I took back off and put my mechanical ones back on.

Thanks Bob, your guage is basically the same as the one(4361) I'm looking at.
Did you mount your sending unit on the block?

I actually put the sending unit in the 1/8 pipe hole on the regulator. It works fine.
