Re: Dry Film lubricant
Get a hold of Tom Russell (Gary's son) in E. Sparta, Ohio. He's done several sets for me. Sorry, I don't have a phone no. handy.

The home products seem to be either dry or water soluble. PS: I'm just a helpful amateur here. Dale |

Leonard at Techline is careful about who he sells to, and as mentioned by others, the EPA, etc, have really hammered the coating industry with regulations. Further, the preparation for application is extremely critical, as is the application itself. The damage done when it is not done perfectly is horrific. |

Surface preparation is essential and you need to know how to prepare the specific surface. As an example, you cannot prep a Titanium valve the same way you do a Stainless Steel valve. You also need to select the proper coating and curing process. There are specific materials, especially pistons, that its properties will be affected if you do not use the appropriate temperature and curing process. My preferred companies are Swain, Calico and Polydyn. |
