Throttle Stop Carb Selection

I have four throttle stop carburetors and want suggestions / input on which one to use, and which ones to sell.

I have a:

Stinnet 1050
Carb Shop 1050
Gary Williams 1050
Quick Fuel 1150

OMG!!.. you do have a decent selection to pick from.. and I can narrow it down to either the Stinnet or the Quick Fuel... but before you do anything, give David Cook a call at DC Carbs.. he will be a great help with his explanations..

Re: Throttle Stop Carb Selection

Stinnett is probably the one to keep, what engine is it going on? What type of stop, and is it progressive ore one to one linkage if a 4 hole under carb?

This is on a 15:1 582 with CFE (BMF 385) heads, spragless 9 inch, 1.80 low gear / 4.29 rear gear, 2100 # Index Class ( S/G or S/C) Roadster.

Re: Throttle Stop Carb Selection

Forgot to add that all of them are 1:1 throttle linkage, 3 circuit carburetors. I have a variety of carb to manifold spacers:

Open hole
Barry Grant Four hole
HVC / Super Sucker tapered four hole

All are phenolic used on a Wilson / Edelbrock 2927. I am going to have three of them for sale once I've made the final decision.

Re: Throttle Stop Carb Selection

Sell all of them and get yourself an APD throttle stop carb.

Re: Throttle Stop Carb Selection

So since you are running a spacer under the carb you have an inline throttle stop? The QF carb should be fastest on your engine. Why not go to a test session and run a couple of them?
