3rd gen f-body 10" rear wheel backspace
 

what backspace are you guys running 10" wheels running, and are there any clearance issues? I've already sold my 8" wheels, or I'd measure myself.

Holeshot 15" x 10", 5 7/8" BS. The clearance I had up front on the inner wheel well with the 8" wide wheels remained the same with the 10" wide wheels. No other issues elsewhere.

do you have a 4th gen rear end in it? that seems like a lot of backspace

It is a Strange 12 bolt ordered for a 3rd gen. I know of a 4th gen Firebird that uses 10" wheels with BS around 6.5", so I figured mine would need less and that's what I came up with.

I've had 5 1/2 BS and 6 1/2 BS on my car. Tire size matters most but the inner wheel well is tight at the frt usually requiring a BFH to make adjustments. The 6 1/2 wouldn't fit without spacers and adjustments. I've had 12" wide Hoosiers on the car and cut the inner wheel well. I have 10.5 Hoosiers with a stiff sidewall now and have plenty of room.

5-1/2" back space on my !5x10 Pro Stars w/ the Strange Eng 12 bolt.
