How high is safe so the front end trips beam all the time?

I'm in a different situation with my front end only tripping the beam when I go through the finish line not on the throttle? (I'm assuming with the spook em numbers)

How much does tire growth and the chassis being under power load move the front end up? I know the beams are anywhere from 5.5 to 8" high but I just want something that consistently trips the beam whether I'm on the throttle, on the brakes or just coasting. My front end sits at 6 inches off the ground sitting at a dead stop.

Opinions welcome as I don't like having to guess what's tripping the beam.

The beams at the top end are supposed to be the same at every track, at least at NHRA sanctioned tracks. I can't remember if it's 6 or 6.5 inches. The questions you are asking have too many variables for anyone to answer without knowing a lot more about your car. I am assuming it is a stock suspension car, being the front is that high off of the ground. Simplest fix for you is to install a stripe taker at the front of your car that is low enough to trip the beams consistantly

It's a back halved ladder bar car with a pinto 2 front end with struts and a fiberglass clip. The front tires are 26"
