Looking for info on this OLD race car

I recently purchaced this 1970 Camaro that has been a race car all it's life. I have gotten some limited info on the car's early years, but not enough to point me in any specific direction. It was raced in the New England/New York area(from what I can tell) until the mid 70's,possibly as a pro stocker. It was then purchased from a guy from Western PA who ran it as a gasser, then altered then super gas car,and his home track seems to be the old Keystone raceway. Rather then go into a ton of details,I will provide a link to a tread that I started on Yellow Bullet about the car. This tread has a ton of pics and info. It would be great to hear more about this car. Thanks.

There was a yellow and black? Pro Stock Camaro in the Boston area...run about
1970-72?...out of the PV Speed Shop.....

Also, there was another...run a couple of years later I think...by Jim Cook...out of
Maine....think it was all white....

You mentioned CT some where...there could have been 1 or two (or more)....from the
Nutmeg State...Pro Stock was quite popular in those years...EVEN at the local level!

Re: Looking for info on this OLD race car

Thanks SS. I have been trying to contact the current owner of PV's. I found a guy who swears that he saw the Peavy car on a jig at some guy named Chick's chassis shop(not Chick Denino) and that it was made into a 74 style tube chassis car. I would still like to confirm that. This car has a VIN,and most of the original body shell that says that it was made in mid June of 1970,so it would have probably not made it onto the track until late July or later. The earliest pic I found of the PV cars was from the beginning of August. At one point somebody said that my car was involved with Chick denino, but I spoke to him and he says it wasnt. I wonder if it was really the other guy named Chick. The search continues.

Mr. Schmidt, think you're onto something...Chick Brignolo was a chassis expert up that
way about that time frame. Maybe he did the car?

Keep us posted...as you put the puzzle together...interesting thread!
