Malibu hood
 

Did Chevrolet offer a aluminum hood for the 78-83 Malibu? I know Oldsmobile did for the Cutlass. The hood for the sedan and the station wagon are hopefully the same because this is going on a wagon. Thanks in advance for any reply.

no aluminum hood for the Malibu - was an Olds only item along with the rad support - I think those came on the diesel cars. Looked for a long time - only ever found olds, and while the hood fits, the lines /contours don't

Buicks, Pontiacs AND Caddys had aluminum too! The only cars that I've actually found with aluminum radiator supports from the factory were Buick Century wagons, the same cars had aluminum hoods too. Caddy Fleetwood Broughams had aluminum hoods. I've never seen one but I've been told that some Pontiac GPs had aluminum hoods.

i have 2 al. hoods from 79 gp they fit 78-80 only core supports i have found on gp and regal 78-80 and al. deck lid for 78-80 regal 78-80 monties had al. deck lids

I do believe my 79 Monte had an aluminum trunk lid.
