Has any D-7 Racer heard of a new drag strip being built in Lake Havasu City, AZ. ?

I have seen it, seen the possibilities, talked to the people pushing it. I was told "It will never be a NHRA event track" All it will be is a bracket track and a place to hold nostalgia events. Still years away from completion. Nice concept-poor execution..... Too many old guys just wanting a place to "cackle fest" and benchrace.
