East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Reunion 2013
 

East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Reuion for 2013 is in the history book. To everyone who came to the event thank-you. If you were there and I did not get a chance to speak with you I apologize. A brief shower kinda dampened things for a few minutes but was gone and the show went on. Lots of classic cars, historic and current drag race cars, "old" racers and lots of spectators. The spectators loved a car show version of a cackle fest. We started at one end of the street with old gassers, those blown Willis' were cool, moved to historic Pro Stock with about 5 of them fired up one at a time, moved on to historic Stock/Superstock, which people loved, on to Fuel Altered and down to the end of the street with 4 front engine top Fuelers on Nitro and finished with the new world record holder Top Fuel Harley. What a day. Will get some photos soon.

Curt Smith, Sr. and Jr. and Lew Silverman, thanks for coming and bringing those cars. The Spectators loved those cars. I heard a lot of good comments about you guys joining us this year.

We had a GREAT time! Thanks for inviting us, I think dad enjoyed cranking his car up as much as the crowd did. There was a lot of great cars there and dad enjoyed catching up with some friends that he hasn't seen in years! Thanks again,

It's kind of hard to describe the entire experience, Mike. It's one of those things that you need to see and feel for yourself. I really wish that the weather had been more cooperative, but even with some folks staying away, there still was an amazing group of cars and people to see.

I look forward to the Hall of Fame show every year, and have already made my plans to return again, if I'm able, in 2014! Everyone needs to be there for this once (or twice :D) in-a-lifetime event!
