help/question about roll bar
I have noticed that some stockers have a 10 point roll bar and based on their ET only need an 8 point. I was wondering if there was a reason for this.
My bracket car has an 8 and i was wondering if i should point a 10 point in it this winter. |
Re: help/question about roll bar
A lot depends on what the owner wants or what the builder feels the car needs.
Some bodies are so weak around the spring box or upper link areas that extra bars are necessary. Years ago with old suspension technology ,you could make the chassis too stiff and loose ET. I havent found that to be the case with modern Stocker suspension technology. My 2 cents. |
Re: help/question about roll bar
It's done to further stiffen the chassis. Many of today's Stocker cages are made from chrome moly so the added weight isn't so much of an issue.
