Centerlines & radial slicks....
Centerline R/T wheels are stamped "bias tires only"....Anybody try radials on them or...
Maybe the warning is for street use...I'll call them anyway.... |
Re: Centerlines & radial slicks....
Centerline cleared it up....These are the common "Auto/Drag" series...with the rivets...
Early production wheels were "drag racing only"....later a change was made so the rims became DOT-compliant...and could be used on the street...with radial or bias tires... ALL Auto/Drag series...no matter how old....can be run at the drags...with radial slicks... and no problems...as many have...over the years... Hard to believe these wheels have been around for 35+ years...and are still being made today! Think mine have a 1979 production date.... |

Thanks for posting that.
I love the looks of polished Auto Drags. I had some 8.5 inch rears widened to 10 inch a few years back. (in the pic) Those are classics for any of the 80's cars. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...skinnies05.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...809pics002.jpg |
