1970 351 cleavland 2 barrel
Any idea what size the Autolite 2 bbl carb was, and weather it's anywhere close to big enough for stock eliminator? Nhra specs are DO-OF-L auto?

Re: 1970 351 cleavland 2 barrel
Tim,
I'm currently assembling a 72 240hp 351c for my cougar. My engine is required to have .407 lift @ the valve & the 1.21 carb. The 70 uses a bigger cam and the 1.23 carb. Also, a 351W & 351C are both rated @ 250hp in 70. I have it on good info, from someone who ran this before, that my combo is quite capable of running the index. I just need to get closer to his recipe. |

Thanx for the info dave, hopefully I'll run into you, not literally, at the races. I'm in div6 as well.

Tim, Did or do you have a light colored Ranchero ?

Re: 1970 351 cleavland 2 barrel
I bracket raced a white, then later on, red 64 falcon ranchero for years. I now run an n/sa, o/sa 89 mustang.

Well then if that was you, we raced each other in a final round in 1989 the week before the bracket final's.(Renegade) You won. My car bogged so bad it almost died.

Yep, that was me. That was a crazy trip. We drove my ranchero 200 miles after work, raced, ran the finals after midnight! Then drove home 200 miles trying to stay awake. Good talkin to you Dave.
