69 Camaro weatherstrip help

Need some beltline door weatherstrips for a 69 Camaro conv restoration project. I am very concerned about the quality, much of the repro stuff is not that great. Any suggestions on suppiers or brands ?

Thanks

Hi Dave. I just did a 68 and found that Heartbeat City was pretty good to deal with. They sometimes had 2 different qualities of an item and would tell you so. On some parts, there just is not a good repop made and guys pay up for the NOS stuff. They do have a lot of NOS parts. I always work with Jim,the owner,or Dave. You could also talk with the guys at Yenko.net. They have done or seen it all and could steer you in the right direction.

Thanks for the help, when some of the cars come in my glass shop, the stuff customers buy is horrible. looking to avoid that crap . I have my favorites for the products I am use to buying, but I have not bought these weather strips before.

Dave, I recently had to pull the windshield out of an early Nova a couple of times before I got a gasket that would cover the upper corners of the windshield cavity and the one that finally worked was a Steele brand. Steele may not be the best but their gaskets are better than alot of the ones I've run into.

Steele brand.. this is by far the best. It is very soft and always fits right. I use it on all the restorations I do
