Didn't they require driveshafts loops back then?
Now I'm curious when that rule did go into affect.

That's a pretty cool read in that ad. If you take the time to read it all, you'll understand the pricetag a little better.

Re: What Am I missing?

:):) I remember reading every issue of Super Stock and Drag Illustrated in 1985 just to see the progress of this car. I think I still have those issues in my basement. This Road Runner is, perhaps, one of the most significant magazine cars. The build, the history and the performance are very important. The price seems interesting considering the history. Should it be higher or lower???? The car looks outstanding and I hope it goes to a great home.

Re: What Am I missing?

I drove the car on to the auction block at Barrett Jackson in 2010.
It sold at that time for $100,000.00 + 10%
I cant see the car going up that much in 3 yrs.

Re: What Am I missing?

Project Six Pack & Project X; probably the two best known project cars in car magazine history.
But any project that SS&DI had was 10 notches above what any other mag rag had to offer.
