How many runs did you get out of your trans ?

I know how many runs I could get out of all my power glide trans before you ran out of high gear clutch ( found out the hard way in the 3rd round 1 race ) .The ATI ultra glide drove thru the hi gear clutch at about 225-250 runs , behind a 350/295 at 3100lbs . But this is the first of 2 1/2 years and 235 runs on a coan xlt350 w/clean "N", behind a 396/325 at 3240lbs car . I'll call coan next week to see what they think . I might play it safe and just freshen it up any how . I here some of the metric go from 50 - 250 depending on trans pump psi , HP , gear ratio and car lbs .

I have hundreds of runs on my tranny. Only had one small issue with my transmission several years ago. Not like it use to be when you could not run a real racing transmission. Of course it's a stick and not an automatic. Only broke 1 ring gear and no clutch issues. Not bad since every run is on kill! Youngblood is the reason for the low breakage rate. Merry Christmas everyone.

I no longer run a PG,but when I did I would take them apart every 250-300 runs just to check.Never looked worn out,but I would install new clutch's anyway. 4 in drive 1 in reverse-LV pump-3400# -255/350 footbrake to 2800rpm 5300 flash 11.56 best ET.I run a 200 now and have about 500 runs on it at same weight but with a lot less HP

I have run a Remac 200 in the past. I had over a 150 runs on it, and the clutches still had the printing on them. The 200 is very durable when you run the right front pump, input shaft and valvebody.
